Only a fraction of the ancient Roman city has been uncovered at this point. Visitors may see the city centre, the sacred district.
The archaeological park is surrounded by a nice Mediterranean park, where visitors can see a permanent exhibition in an open-air museum of Roman stones, graves and exciting findings.
However, the most beautiful experience is probably the ancient theatre with a capacity of 1200; at the Floralia Spring Festival and at the Ludi Romani Summer Games there are antique dramas and gladiator games performed on the stage, and other programs such as ancient handicrafts, Roman toys and food prepared from the ancient recipes of Apicius.
